WBSO and the Innovation Box
The Dutch WBSO scheme returns part of the wage costs of R&D work through lower payroll tax. For 2026, RVO lists 36% on the first bracket (50% for starters) and 16% above it. A WBSO decision can later let you bring profit from self-developed technology under the Innovation Box, at an effective rate of 9%.
Important: “we do something with AI” isn’t enough. The work must be technically new for your organisation, and you must apply to RVO before the work starts. We help structure projects so the technical novelty is clear, and we keep the project records you need.

Why we can do this
Our team comes from electric-vehicle engineering at our sister company Voltron. We already build battery-management firmware, CAN-bus tools, telemetry and dashboards for real vehicles.
